Job DetailsJob Location: McCuskers Market - Shelburne Falls, MA 01370Salary Range: $17.75 - $17.75 HourlyJOB SUMMARY: To handle the cash sale of goods to members and the general public in a friendly, efficient and accurate manner. To ensure that displays, coolers and shelves are clean, neat and fully stocked according to established procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: CASHIERING: Be able to perform store opening and closing procedures. Maintain checkout area in clean, orderly condition: show initiative in ensuring an orderly and clean store; bring problems to the attention of the manager on duty. Check out customer purchases efficiently and accurately following established procedures. Be knowledgeable about the system of membership in order to answer customer questions and sign up new members. Be able to follow pricing and stocking guidelines as stated always striving for accuracy. Follow guidelines established to ensure assigned areas are fully stocked at the expected rate. Ensure deliveries are received promptly and accurately and all products and invoices are routed to the appropriate areas. CUSTOMER SERVICE & TEAM WORK: Respond promptly to calls for assistance with customer needs. Greet customers and assist them with questions and special orders in a prompt and friendly manner Be familiar with products sold in the store- where located and where to find delivery schedules and information on special ordering. Follow store policies about returned merchandise in order to respond clearly and consistently. Participate in telephone answering. Attend all staff meetings. Be generous in agreeing to switch/ substitute for a colleague. Be vigilant and pro active about store maintenance (eg. attend to spills immediately) Maintain honest, direct and respectful communications with co-workers and managers and take initiative in problem solving. MAINTENANCE: Maintain receiving, storage and display areas in clean, orderly and efficient condition Take out trash and break down boxes regularly. Be alert to condition of customer areas; sweep, mop, clean up spills as needed. Participate in regular and thorough cleanings of all work and display areas. Detail oriented and commitment to accuracy and productivity. Demonstrated success as a team player and experience in serving the public Ability to handle multiple time demands.
