Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Shelby, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Screen incoming deliveries, vendor personnel, and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
