Machine Operator/Laser Welding - 2nd Shift

We're seeking team members who enjoy machine operations and an industrial setting. Are you good with attention to details and highly accurate work? We’re hiring for our Aerospace division and excited to meet you! This 2nd shift operator will learn to operate our laser welding machines and other production equipment/processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

Using laser weld equipment (Butt Weld and Seam Weld).  Performing tasks such as: setting up tools and equipment to operate laser weld equipment for production to form/cut material as specified by work order and specific blueprints and diagrams, quality inspection of product.   Completing and passing required seat track laser weld operator training curriculum.  See attached description for details. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned. 

• Safely load and unload parts.  
• Uses basic computer skills to record inventory transactions in manufacturing software.
• Setup machine, tooling, fixtures independently, 
• Uses knowledge of measuring tools to assure required quality standards are met. 
• Follows all verbal and written instructions pertaining to the operation of the laser weld and cut machines and related equipment as well as any other jobs to which he/she may be assigned.

Schedule: Currently seeking 2nd shift candidates

2nd shift:    3:00PM - 2:30AM Monday to Thursday, $1/hour shift premium

* Employees hired for 2nd shift may train on 1st shift for 6 months - 1 year. 

Qualifications:

• One-to-three months related experience, including: manufacturing or similar environment including laser welding and programming experience, production experience reading blueprints and diagrams.
• Computer Skills are required - to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software and ability to learn how to new programs.     
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Must be able to work shift assigned and overtime as needed.        
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual vision tests 
• Must be US Person as defined by EAR / ITAR

Preferred experience also includes consistent experience in manufacturing performing machine set-up, laser weld production equipment, performing part inspections, reading blueprints, and/or experience with making adjustments to machines or their programming.
