Inlet Coastal Resort is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly dependable Memory Care Coordinator to help lead our memory care program.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting residents, guiding care staff, communicating with families, and helping ensure that each resident receives consistent, person-centered dementia care. The ideal candidate understands that a successful memory care program depends on strong relationships, careful observation, reliable follow-through, and a team that feels supported and accountable.


Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in memory care, assisted living, long-term care, or a related senior-care setting
  • Previous supervisory or care-coordination experience preferred
  • Dementia-care certification strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia
  • Experience with person-centered care, behavior support, and dementia-specific communication techniques
  • Strong leadership, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, providers, and team members
  • Dependable transportation and a record of punctual, consistent attendance
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operation of the memory care program
  • Help develop, review, and update individualized resident care plans
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition, behavior, abilities, or care needs
  • Communicate resident updates and concerns to families, providers, nurses, and leadership
  • Support residents experiencing confusion, anxiety, agitation, or other dementia-related behaviors
  • Model appropriate redirection, communication, and person-centered care techniques
  • Provide hands-on support to residents and care staff as needed
  • Supervise, coach, and support caregivers, CNAs, and medication technicians
  • Assist with staff orientation, dementia-care education, and ongoing training
  • Monitor staff performance, documentation, attendance, and adherence to care plans
  • Coordinate with nursing, activities, dining, and other departments to support residents’ overall well-being
  • Participate in resident assessments, admissions, care conferences, and family meetings
  • Help develop meaningful routines, activities, and engagement opportunities for residents
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, community policies, and confidentiality requirements
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, complaints, and resident or family concerns
  • Promote a safe, respectful, organized, and welcoming memory care environment


Position and Schedule

  • Position: Full-time
  • Schedule may include occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays based on resident and staffing needs
  • Participation in the leadership on-call rotation may be required
