About the Role:
Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton, CT is looking for a friendly and motivated Front Desk Associate to join our team on the PM shift! Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in/check out hotel guests with a warm, professional demeanor during PM shift hours
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel property management system (PMS)
- Manage cash handling, credit card transactions, and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
- Provide local area recommendations and assist with concierge-style requests
- Ensure front desk area is organized, secure, and compliant with Marriott brand standards
Requirements:
- Prior hotel front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Availability to work PM shift hours, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems (Opera, Fosse, or similar) a plus
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy front desk environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Positive, guest-first attitude with a team-oriented mindset
