Location: Nexus Children’s Hospital – Shenandoah, TX
Schedule: Full-time / PRN (Night Shifts Available)

Position Summary
We’re seeking Pediatric RNs to deliver specialized care for patients with behavioral and co-occurring medical conditions. You’ll assess mental health status, administer interventions, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and therapeutic care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric nursing care following Texas practice guidelines
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient mental and physical health status
  • Respond promptly to psychiatric and medical emergencies
  • Support patient de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and families to implement care plans

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in Texas (or compact)
  • BLS required; ACLS within 45 days
  •  (de-escalation) training within 30 days of hire
  • 1+ year psychiatric, behavioral health, or acute care experience preferred
