Project Analyst, Facilities Maintenance

Opportunity

The Project Analyst-Facilities Maintenance plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency and asset reliability across Kohler’s AFO division. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and applying industry best practices to optimize facility performance. The engineer collaborates closely with maintenance teams to ensure effective resource utilization and safeguard company assets.

Additionally, the role supports the achievement of KSMS Tier I–IV objectives by providing the necessary technical and operational resources. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring that all activities within the engineer’s scope adhere to the highest safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and implement cost-saving opportunities in maintenance.
  • Develop and recommend equipment/system modifications.
  • Design innovative repair methods and failure analysis procedures.
  • Create diagrams, charts, and reports to prevent maintenance delays.
  • Collaborate with planners to establish preventive maintenance in CMMS.
  • Design and plan facility equipment (e.g., chillers, boilers, AHUs).
  • Support utility budgets and electrical engineering designs.
  • Prepare CAD drawings and project documentation.
  • Coordinate layouts for facility and production equipment.
  • Estimate design costs and act as liaison across departments.
  • Manage capital projects from conception to commissioning.
  • Report safety improvement opportunities to EHS.

Skills/Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 – 10 years' experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of electrical building codes.
  • Mechanical and structural background.
  • HVAC systems expertise.
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Preferred: Electrical degree/license, HVAC certification, PLC experience
