Job Summary: The Full Time Dialysis Nurse provides comprehensive hemodialysis care for patients at Sheridan Community Hospital in Sheridan Michigan This role ensures safe effective and high-quality dialysis treatment while supporting patients and families through education and compassionate clinical care Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care during hemodialysis treatments ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards Monitor patient responses before during and after dialysis sessions and intervene appropriately Perform and document patient assessments vital signs and treatment progress Collaborate with nephrologists’ hospital staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care  Operate troubleshoot and maintain dialysis equipment in compliance with safety protocols  Provide patient and family education regarding dialysis treatments and homecare practices Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record EMR Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean safe clinical environment  Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the dialysis program Experience with cannulation is required Participate in quality improvement projects. Attend training and meetings as required Maintains awareness of current quality and safety measures on the unit and follows guidelines or reporting measures to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff. Knowledge and skills in quality improvement and research methodologies. Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation, Experience and Other Requirements: Current Registered Nurse RN license in the State of Michigan  Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including at least 1 year in a dialysis or nephrology setting preferred Current BLS certification  ACLS certification preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently in a Critical Access Hospital environment
