Job Summary: Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, managing budgets, and forecasting trends, labor productivity to support decision-making, improve the financial performance, efficiency, and strategic financial planning of the SCH Hospital and Clinics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, variance analyses, and profitability studies. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual operating budgets, departmental forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Cost Management and Efficiency: Analyze expenses, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and evaluate the financial impact of operational changes. Hospital Medicare/Medicaid Cost reporting knowledge an added advantage Strategic Planning and Modeling: Create financial models for growth initiatives, service line expansions. Benchmarking and Data Mining: Utilize tools like SQL, Excel, and BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to extract data from financial systems (e.g., EPIC, Lawson) to compare performance against industry standards. Compliance: Ensure financial records adhere to regulatory standards and policies, including Medicare/Medicaid requirements. Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation, Experience and Other Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, modeling), SQL for data querying, and experience with BI tools. Experience: 5 years’ progressive experience in healthcare financial Accounting or hospital/Healthcare operations, in a similar role. Extensive Knowledge in Healthcare reimbursement, developing trends and policy changes, preferably in Hospital setting. Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong analytic skills and detail orientated. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
