Basic Job Functions:

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting steel receiving, inventory accuracy, and material flow operations for the Sheridan, AR facility. This role ensures the timely receipt and delivery of steel materials to meet production schedules while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation. Key responsibilities include receiving and entering steel shipments into inventory systems, coordinating material deliveries to support manufacturing operations, tracking inventory levels, investigating discrepancies, and processing inventory adjustments as needed. The Inventory Coordinator maintains coil usage logs and related inventory records, leads monthly physical inventories and cycle counts, prepares inventory status reports, and collaborates closely with operations teams to ensure efficient material flow and uninterrupted production. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to inventory accuracy and operational excellence.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office applications, and data management tools.
