We are looking for Tool Maker. This position will be based at our Sheridan, AR location, where we specialize in manufacturing high-quality kitchen and bathroom products, including faucets, sinks, showers, and lighting.

Basic Functions

Design,Build, Maintain, and Repair production fixtures, quality fixtures, automationfixtures, small autonomous production assembly machinery, safetyguarding/fixturing and custom replacement parts.

Crafting Excellence: Your Specific Responsibilities  

  •  Design, Build, Maintain, Troubleshoot, and Repair production fixtures including, but not limited to, drawing, determining engineering requirements, working with internal customers to determine requirements/outcomes, costing, working with vendors for services/components, precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and adjustments as needed.
  •  Design, Build, Maintain, Troubleshoot, and Repair quality fixtures including, but not limited to, drawing, determining engineering requirements, working with internal customers to determine requirements/outcomes, costing, working with vendors for services/components, precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and adjustments as needed
  • Design, Build, Maintain, Troubleshoot, and Repair automation fixtures including, but not limited to, drawing, determining engineering requirements, working with internal customers to determine requirements/outcomes, costing, working with vendors for services/components, precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and adjustments as needed.
  • Design, Build, Maintain, and Repair custom replacement parts including, but not limited to, drawing, determining requirements, working with internal customers to determine requirements/outcomes, costing, working with vendors for services/components, precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and adjustments as needed.
  • Design, Build, Maintain, Troubleshoot, and Repair safety guarding/fixturing including, but not limited to, drawing, determining engineering requirements, working with internal customers to determine requirements/outcomes, costing, working with vendors for services/components, precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and adjustments as needed.
  • Work proficiently in a .001” tolerance environment on a daily basis and have the ability to work in a .0005” environment as required. Adapt to working with varying tolerances dependent on the project requirements and function.
  • Welding and fabricating various materials as required for fixtures, and safety guarding.
  • Read and use precision measuring and setup tools (to 0.0001” precision) including, but not limited to: dial calipers, indicators, gauges, sine tables, dividing heads, and micrometers.
  • Maintain records and design information on specific equipment, where required, to include, but not limited to designs made to fabricate projects, dates, repairs made, time required to make repairs, and material lists for projects.
  • Proficiency working to specified requirements, as indicated by part and or tooling prints, written and or oral instructions, and input from team collaboration, with limited supervision or guidance.
  •  Follows safety and/or plant requirements, rules, policies, etc.  Insures safe and proper working condition of tool room equipment and tools.

Key Qualifications  

  • Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship. 
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old. 
  • 5 or more years of Die and Fixture design, build, and repair experience working in a precision toolroom.  
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.  
  • Proficiency in drawing, reading, and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.  
  • Proficiency with all tool room equipment and tooling.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with the Following Equipment:

  •  Mills
  • Lathe
  • CNC Machines
  • Waterjet 

 Experience with CNC Programming, CAD, and Welding (Stick/MIG/TIG)

 

Additional Requirements  

  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, including bending, lifting, and pushing weights of up to 35 pounds or more.
  • Screening: Successful completion of a drug screen and background check. 
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance and work performance. 
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
