Description

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner." The team member is required to assemble all required equipment for the Delford labeling system, Markem printer, and ensure metal detector is set up and verified at shift start up.  Team member is responsible for label verification and testing for every product that will be ran on their line for the shift.  Team member will retrieve label rolls and set up print and apply heads on the machine for the product being produced as needed.  During the production run, the team member will monitor the metal detector flow and the Markem printer for flow as well as print quality.  As label rolls run low, they will have to change.  This job combination requires a lot of walking up and down the process line to ensure proper operation and quality. 

 

Tasks

 The team member is required to assemble all required equipment for the Delford labeling system, Markem printer, and ensure metal detector is set up and verified at shift start up.  Team member is responsible for label verification and testing for every product that will be ran on their line for the shift.  Team member will retrieve label rolls and set up print and apply heads on the machine for the product being produced as needed.  During the production run, the team member will monitor the metal detector flow and the Markem printer for flow as well as print quality.  As label rolls run low, they will have to change.  This job combination requires a lot of walking up and down the process line to ensure proper operation and quality. Bending: Forward flexion of 10 - 50 degrees is sometimes required.

Lifting: Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds is required to handle equipment and product throughout the day.  Both hands are required to perform this job.

Push / Pull: Frequent push/pull with moderate force with one or both hands is required.

Reaching: Constant reaching of up to 30 inches with occasional side reaching with one or both hands is required.

Grasping: Occasional pinch and/or power gripping with one or both hands is required.

Standing: The team member stands during the entire shift.  There is sufficient knee and toe clearance. 

Force: Occasional moderate to heavy force with both hands is needed when setting up and tearing down.

 

 

Requirements

To be considered for position, Team Member must possess the following:

Must have successfully completed probationary period

Must have excellent attendance record (6 points or less) and maintain 9 points or less

Excellent Safety record, must not have a disciplinary action resulting in Suspension in the last 12 months.
