Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain existing test infrastructure on the production floorÂ
- Bring up new test infrastructure on the production floorÂ
- Support improvements/upgrades to test infrastructure on the production floorÂ
- Support the smooth flow of material through test infrastructure on the production floorÂ
- Support engineering in developing and implementing new test infrastructureÂ
- Update and maintain test documentationÂ
- Provide test equipment-related training to operatorsÂ
- Perform calibrations and validations of test equipmentÂ
- Perform material dispositionsÂ
- Perform, analyze, and act on SPC charts & maintain SPC materialÂ
- Analyze and act on production and test related KPIsÂ
- Perform basic DOEs for engineersÂ
- Co-develop calibration procedures with senior technicians and engineersÂ
- Co-develop SOPs and OCAPs with senior technicians and engineersÂ
- Ownership and accountability of production floor performance and misses on all test equipmentÂ
- Successfully present and communicate to management on any topics of interest/concernÂ
- Cross-train other technicians on all test infrastructure / job requirementsÂ
- Advanced analysis of engineering and production data from multiple sources and present analyses / summaries in verbal and written presentations to engineers and managementÂ
- Develop and perform advanced DOEs for engineersÂ
Education & Experience
- Minimum 15 yr. semiconductor or equipment maintenance or related experience.Â
- BS or equivalent degree
Skills
- Knowledge of optics, mechanics, and electronicsÂ
- Laboratory skills using high speed test equipment such as network analyzers, pattern generators, oscilloscopes, error detectors, micrometers, microscopes, etc.Â
- Cursory knowledge of programming or scripting languagesÂ
- Quick learner with abstract and foreign conceptsÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Strong reporting, logging, and documentation skillsÂ
- Great self-management & prioritization skillsÂ
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in high stress environmentÂ
- Strong interpersonal/teaming skills to able to effectively collaborate with other cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve business unit and organizational objectives.Â
- Strong direct ownership of projects and ability to successfully complete them within cross-functional teamsÂ
- Proficiency with MS Office and similar softwareÂ
- Ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously and continually report on progressÂ
- Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environmentÂ
- Soldering experience, Oscilloscope experience, computer networking troubleshooting experience Â
Working Conditions
- This position will support 24/7 factory operations inside a cleanroom.Â
- Most of the time spent will be in full cleanroom attire in the factory, some time will be spent in technician rooms and cubicles.Â
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in high stress high paced environment.Â
- Must be able to work from incomplete documentation and instructions.Â
Physical Requirements
- Includes working on mechanical systems within a production cleanroomÂ
- Includes working with laptops & desktops within a production cleanroomÂ
- Requires bending at the waist and/or kneesÂ
- Requires leaning/reaching into mechanical systemsÂ
- Requires bundling/unbundling cabling on the floorÂ
- Requires lifting up to 50lbÂ
- Requires using microscopes and other metrology toolsÂ
- Requires working in full cleanroom attire including laser safety gogglesÂ
- Requires compressed shifts (12hr)Â
- Holiday and overtime (with prior approval) may be required depending on production needs.Â
