We're looking for a highly skilled, customer-focused technician who can confidently diagnose, service and repair residential HVAC and hearth/fireplace systems, take ownership of service calls, and serve as a technical resource and leader for the service team. What We Offer Starting rate: $30–$45/hour DOE Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Company-provided vehicle, where applicable Company-provided uniforms Ongoing technical training and professional development Career advancement opportunities Employee Assistance Program Stable, year-round work Supportive team environment with a respected local company   What You'll Do As a Lead HVAC/Hearth Service Technician, you will: Diagnose, service, repair and maintain residential HVAC and hearth systems Troubleshoot complex heating, cooling and hearth/fireplace issues and determine effective repair solutions Service furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning systems, thermostats, ventilation equipment and related comfort systems Service and troubleshoot residential fireplaces, inserts, stoves and other hearth products Perform preventative maintenance, system inspections and tune-ups Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely and professional manner Provide technical guidance and support to other service technicians when needed Help troubleshoot difficult or escalated HVAC and hearth service calls Share knowledge, best practices and technical expertise with less-experienced technicians Help maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, documentation and customer service Communicate repair recommendations and options clearly with homeowners Ensure parts, tools and materials are properly stocked and accounted for Maintain accurate service records and documentation Follow company safety policies, industry standards and applicable HVAC and hearth regulations Stay current on HVAC, hearth and fireplace technology, equipment and industry advancements Partner with management and other departments to support a positive customer and employee experience Perform other duties as assigned   What Success Looks Like The successful Lead HVAC/Hearth Service Technician is someone who: Takes ownership of their work and follows through Can accurately diagnose problems rather than simply replacing parts Is comfortable working independently in the field Can handle complex HVAC and hearth troubleshooting and service situations Provides an exceptional customer experience Communicates clearly with homeowners, coworkers and leadership Is willing to coach and support other technicians Leads by example and takes pride in quality workmanship Manages time effectively and stays organized Maintains a professional appearance and represents Evergreen positively Qualifications 5+ years of residential HVAC service and troubleshooting experience preferred Hearth/fireplace service experience strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems Experience servicing or troubleshooting fireplaces, inserts, stoves or other hearth products is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Previous experience mentoring, training or supporting other technicians preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong time-management and organizational skills Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record High school diploma or equivalent Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Join Evergreen If you're an experienced HVAC technician with hearth/fireplace experience who is ready to take on more responsibility while continuing to work in the field, this is an opportunity to make an impact.
