Circle of Life is growing and we’re looking for a Billing Manager to join our corporate office in Shoreview. Circle of Life is a leading home care agency serving 6 states. The Billing Manager is responsible for managing the organization's billing department. This position will oversee processes including billing and collection activities for all assigned areas of responsibility.

Position Duties Include

  • Oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring requests are processed promptly and in compliance with both internal policies and payer guidelines. 
  • Manage organizations billing functions, resolving any issues in a timely manner 
  • Ensure clients are eligible for services received and federal/state regulations are adhered to 
  • Monitor and manage the status of claims to limit the number of accounts receivable aging, spenddowns, and write offs 
  • Support billing department staff, providing billing staff with necessary training and general information 
  • Implement and manage technical software processes and procedural flows, both from a regulator and performance improvement standpoint 
  • Maintain knowledge of industry billing compliance including new regulations, requirements, and third party billing requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with branch management and payers to expedite claims and minimize denials for payments. 
  • Continually review billing procedures and processes to ensure efficiency within the billing teams. 
  • Exercise independent judgement and decision making regarding all billing data, software programs, missed or late payments, and financial discrepancies. 
  • Supervise, mentor, and train a team of medical billing specialists to ensure high-quality service delivery. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and ensure team members meet individual and team goals. 
  • Partner with leadership to drive process improvements across RCM.

 

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have 1-2 years’ experience managing a team in a similar role, be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to meet deadlines and strong organizational skills (attention to detail). Prior healthcare billing experience and familiarity with MN payors is preferred.
