Position Summary

This is a leadership role for a hands on operator who is ready to run a shop and grow into ownership. You will own the day to day operation of the collision center: leading technicians, controlling workflow, writing and overseeing estimates, and holding the line with carriers on accurate, complete, and safe repairs. You will drive the metrics that matter, including cycle time, customer satisfaction, capture ratio, and gross profit, and deliver a customer experience that earns repeat business and dealer referrals. The owner runs the financials today and will mentor you into the full profit and loss over time, with a clear path into a true Assistant General Manager seat and potential equity in the business. We are looking for a leader who understands repair from the floor up, not a desk only manager.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Production Leadership

•    Lead and develop the body and paint technicians and keep the production floor moving

•    Control workflow, scheduling, and cycle time to meet quality and delivery commitments

•    Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and high performing shop environment

Estimating, Quality, and Repair Integrity

•    Write and oversee estimates using CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex

•    Ensure every vehicle is repaired thoroughly, safely, and to manufacturer repair procedures, including required scanning and calibration

•    Inspect completed work and sign off on quality before delivery

Customer Experience and Carrier Relations

•    Own the customer experience and protect customer satisfaction and retention

•    Manage DRP relationships and hold the line with carriers on fair estimates and supplements, with State Farm as the primary DRP

•    Capture and convert incoming opportunities into scheduled, completed repairs

Financial Performance and Team Development

•    Manage to the shop's key metrics, including sales, gross profit, capture ratio, and cycle time

•    Learn the profit and loss alongside the owner and grow into full financial responsibility

•    Recruit, coach, and retain a strong team as the shop grows its technician capacity



Requirements

Qualifications

Required

•    Deep back of shop and repair experience; you understand the work well enough to manage it and write it

•    Proven estimating ability and comfort with estimating systems such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex

•    Insurance and DRP fluency, including carrier negotiation and supplement handling; State Farm experience is a strong plus

•    Working knowledge of safe, proper repair standards and manufacturer repair procedures, including scanning and calibration

•    Hands on, low ego leadership style suited to a small, independent family shop

•    Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred

•    Prior General Manager or shop manager experience at a similar sized independent collision center

•    Familiarity with import and dealer collision work (Lexus, Subaru, Toyota)

•    I-CAR or ASE training or certification

•    Comfort managing to shop metrics such as cycle time, CSI, capture ratio, and gross profit

•    Ark-La-Tex ties or genuine openness to relocating to Shreveport
