Summary

Ā 

The Foreman is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems. The Foreman ensures projects are completed in a safe and timely manner.Ā 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties of a Journeyman plus:
  • Proven ability to interact with employees, customers, and the general public in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and abilities by participating in continuing education activities.
  • Follows safety standards and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical services industry required.
  3. Complete OSHA 30 hr Safety Training Program within 90 days.
  4. CDL class A license preferred; must acquire CDL beginners permit within 60 days.
  5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; must be very detail oriented.
  6. Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements.
  8. Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions.
  9. Strong sense of personal responsibility.
  10. Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first.

  1. Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions and possible confined space.
  2. All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English.
  3. Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling.
  4. Work is performed within the ā€œred zoneā€ of heavy equipment.
  5. Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

  • Requirements

  1. Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
  2. Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify.
  3. Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results.
  4. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
  5. Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card.
  6. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as dictated by position.

  • Travel required. Ability to work on-call, irregular hours, and emergency response.
