Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Services, he/she is responsible for sustaining a aseptic environment in all areas of the hospital by cleaning rooms, making beds, replenishing linens, maintaining floors and ceilings.
This is a full time position working Friday-Monday day shift.

Responsibilities:

Routinely cleans patient rooms, North and South nursing units, offices, and common areas.
Empty trash in patient rooms and at the stations.
Watch for hazards and report as necessary.
Collect dirty laundry from all patient areas and distribute the clean linen back to the appropriate areas.
Clean rooms after patient discharges.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED required.
2 years’ experience in a hospital environment

Physical Requirements:

Physical movements include sitting, reaching, bending, climbing stairs, stooping and stretching.
Able to lift 40 lbs without assistance.
Visual acuity is required.
Possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate cleaning equipment.
