Inpatient Physical Therapist PRN

 Position Overview
This position is for a licensed, PRN Physical Therapist looking to join our team providing Inpatient services to the Shreveport area. Specialists Hospital Shreveport offers a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of clinicians dedicated to providing quality care for our patients. Our caseload is primarily orthopedic seeing both chronic and acute conditions as well as providing post-operative care to the spine and extremities. 

 Essential Job Functions 

·        Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes appropriate plans of care, and effectively implements treatments to restore                       patient to maximum function 

·        Collaborates well with designated team of PTAs and supervises PT technicians to provide best quality of care for patient 

·        Maintains accurate paper and electronic record of documentation of services rendered per hospital and state guidelines 

·        Cultivates relationships with referring physicians and communicates as necessary regarding patient care 

·        Creates and maintains good patient-therapist rapport to ensure successful therapy experience 

 

Requirements 
·        Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy 

·        Active License to practice physical therapy in Louisiana 

·        Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED)
