Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are seeking a Fellowship - Trained Orthopedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopedics. Must be eligible for active Louisiana licensure and BC/BE.  This position would be for an Assistant or Associate Professor. 

Highlights of the Position: 

  • Level I Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center – ACS verified
  • 3000+ orthopedic cases per year
  • 17 Faculty Members (Spine, Trauma, Sports Medicine, Hand, General), 20 Residents, 9 APPs 
  • Programs include working with Shriners Hospital for Children & Overton Brooks Veteran Administration Medical Center 
  • High existing volumes 
  • Collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient. 

This position: 

  • Combines teaching and patient care 
  • Emphasizes teaching and provides vitally important leadership and guidance to medical students and residents.
