Job Summary:
The Safety & Security Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety and security programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and secure work environment across all company facilities. This role partners with leadership and operations teams to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and promote a strong safety culture.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•   Develop, implement, and maintain safety and security policies, procedures, and programsÂ
•   Partner with department leaders to promote a proactive safety culture and accountabilityÂ
•   Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections; implement corrective actionsÂ
•   Monitor and evaluate safety and security program effectiveness; recommend improvementsÂ
•   Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow-upÂ
•   Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation and ongoing trainingÂ
•   Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHAÂ
•   Oversee emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response proceduresÂ
•   Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections, and compliance activitiesÂ
•   Identify and implement opportunities to reduce workplace injuries, accidents, and health risksÂ
•   Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observedÂ
•   Assist in managing safety and security-related budgets, equipment, and resourcesÂ
•   Support facility security protocols, including access control and incident reportingÂ
•   Perform other related duties as assignedÂ
Required Skills:
•   Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence othersÂ
•   Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance in a manufacturing environmentÂ
•   Knowledge of security practices, emergency response planning, and risk managementÂ
•   Ability to conduct training and present information effectivelyÂ
•   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysisÂ
•   Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
•   Strong organizational skills with attention to detailÂ
•   Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar softwareÂ
Education and Experience:
•   Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, or related field preferredÂ
•   2–3 years of safety, security, or EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferredÂ
•   OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain)Â
•   Additional safety or security certifications are a plusÂ
Physical Requirements:
•   Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the facilityÂ
•   Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, heat, and equipmentÂ
•   Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as neededÂ
•   Ability to respond to emergency situations, including after-hours if required
