Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) engages in the professional practice of communication and swallowing, providing comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, education, and caregiver training to address the communication, cognitive, and feeding needs of pediatric patients. This position is primarily based in the outpatient clinic and involves working as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric team.
 
The SLP will support both general pediatric speech-language therapy and the Cleft Lip and Palate team, collaborating with medical and surgical partners to provide coordinated, patient-centered care across the continuum. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional growth through participation in outpatient program development, team-based care, and exposure to a diverse pediatric caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing a comprehensive, patient and family-centered approach to decision making incorporating national standards and the AMA CPT codes.

  • SLP will design, develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address presenting symptoms or concerns of a communication and/or swallowing problem or related functional issue to optimize function.

  • Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, their families, care management, and community resources such as schools/outside therapy clinics, and actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings.

  • Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate thorough documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology

  • Licensed in state of practice

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC's)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in a pediatric setting

  • Bilingual English/Spanish


The pay range for this position is $72,820.80 - $109,249.92. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
