Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Shreveport, LA 71107Job Summary: The Manufacturing Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the production floor to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity. This role is responsible for supervising a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and ensuring that production goals and standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Supervise, lead, and coordinate activities of production team members. Ensure production schedules are met and adjust workloads as needed to meet targets. Monitor product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and company policies. Train and mentor production staff; ensure team members follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and engineering to resolve production issues. Maintain accurate production records and reports, including shift logs, downtime reports, and incident documentation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste. Enforce health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety. Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving for process or product issues. Manage employee attendance, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of production workflows, lean manufacturing, and quality systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software (e.g., ERP/MRP systems). Working Conditions: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a factory environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. May be required to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, depending on production needs. Qualifications
