Job Description: 

Copeland is seeking a Manager, Controls Services & Support to lead global technical support and controls-related technical services across refrigeration and cold chain customer environments. 

This role provides leadership for 5 direct reports and a total team of approximately 14 technical professionals, including two technical support supervisors and technical specialists supporting global case resolution, controls programming, third-party integrations, and custom interface solutions across the Copeland Controls portfolio. 

In addition to leading global support execution, this role partners closely with OEM stakeholders, Engineering, Product Management, Project Services, and Field Services teams to improve deployment readiness, strengthen integration consistency, and support large-scale customer rollouts. 

The Manager plays a critical role in aligning technical support performance with controls services delivery to ensure consistent execution across Copeland’s lifecycle services model and enterprise customer commitments. 

AS A MANAGER, CONTROLS SERVICES & SUPPORT, YOU WILL: 

  • Be a technically credible leader with deep experience in HVACR controls systems and solution delivery. 

  • Translate complex technical challenges into clear execution plans and operational priorities. 

  • Lead teams responsible for technical delivery in customer-facing environments. 

  • Operate in matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration. 

  • Focus on building scalable processes and repeatable technical solutions. 

  • Serve as a strong coach and mentor who develops technical talent and fosters engineering discipline. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. 

  • Strong background in HVACR controls systems, programming, integrations, and system architecture. 

  • 5+ years of leadership experience within professional services, technical delivery, or engineering organizations. 

  • Experience supporting complex customer deployments involving controls programming, integrations, or commissioning. 

  • Familiarity with service delivery metrics including SLA performance, technical KPIs, and customer outcomes. 

 

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:  

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
