 KE&G Construction, a leading heavy civil and general contractor in Arizona, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Engineer to join our team for our Southern Arizona Division.

Responsibilities:
    •    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry health and safety regulations.
    •    Conduct thorough risk assessments and recommend corrective actions as needed.
    •    Lead and present health and safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety meetings for employees.
    •    Investigate accidents, near-misses, and injuries to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
    •    Recommend solutions and improvements to enhance workplace safety practices.
    •    Collaborate with leadership and staff to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
    •    Prepare and maintain safety documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
    •    Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
    •    Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
    •    In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in both construction and general industry.
    •    Proven ability to conduct investigations and develop actionable solutions.
    •    Excellent communication and presentation skills for addressing large groups.
    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
    •    Operates at professional construction sites, requiring verbal communication in person and by phone, the ability to read printed materials and signs, and stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions.
    •    Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, handle, or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery, and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds.
    •    Requires the ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and/or ladders, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, and traverse construction sites safely.
    •    Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment, and other tools within local, state, and federal safety guidelines.
    •    Works outdoors frequently for long periods of time in all weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
    •    May be exposed to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, viruses, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles, machinery, and dust/debris.
