The Contracts & Price Increase Manager is responsible for managing customer contract administration, commercial terms review, and price increase strategy for our Industrial Services and Technical Services lines of business. This role oversees the full contract lifecycle across customers, vendor, subcontractor, transportation, fuel surcharge, disposal, and strategic service agreements.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, IS & TS, dotted line to VP of Legal, this role will serve as a key cross-functional partner to Corporate Finance, Legal, Sales, Operations, Payroll, and leadership to ensure contracts are commercially sound, financially aligned, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

This position plays a critical role in reviewing, negotiating, and administering service agreements, amendments, renewals, and price adjustment provisions across a multi-state operating environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in contract management, commercial pricing, and regulated environmental services business, with experience of prevailing wage requirements, public sector or infrastructure-related service contracts, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.

Essential Functions

Contract Management

  • Review, draft, redline, and manage customer contracts, service agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, prevailing wage, pricing schedules, amendments, renewals, and related commercial documentation.
  • Partner with Legal to evaluate contractual risk, prevailing wage, ensure appropriate use of approved terms, and escalate non-standard legal, indemnification, insurance, limitation of liability, payment, and compliance provisions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Payroll, and Finance to ensure contract terms align with operational capabilities, pricing strategy, service scope, and profitability objectives.
  • Maintain contract version control, approval workflows, key dates, notice requirements, and document retention practices.
  • Track and monitor renewal timelines, contractual pricing rights, expiration dates, and customer-specific obligations.
  • Support resolution of contract interpretation issues, disputed terms, pricing discrepancies, and billing-related concerns.

Price Increase Strategy and Execution

  • Lead the annual and off-cycle price increase process across assigned Industrial Services and Technical Services accounts.
  • Analyze customer pricing, service mix, margin performance, labor cost changes, fuel or disposal impacts, prevailing wage changes, market conditions, and contract terms to develop pricing recommendations.
  • Identify contractual rights related to rate adjustments, escalation clauses, renewal pricing, change-in-law provisions, and notice requirements.
  • Draft and manage customer price increase communications, notices, and supporting documentation consistent with contract requirements and company standards.
  • Monitor customer responses, retention risks, exceptions, concessions, and post-increase results; provide reporting and recommendations to leadership.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Support commercial compliance across a multi-state footprint, including state-specific contract requirements, payment terms, and service-related regulations.
  • Provide subject matter support regarding prevailing wage considerations, including labor-related cost impacts, pricing implications, contract language needs, and coordination with internal compliance, payroll, legal, and operations teams.
  • Review contracts and pricing structures for compliance with applicable prevailing wage obligations on public works, municipal, infrastructure, emergency response, environmental remediation, industrial cleaning, transportation, field service, or other regulated projects, as applicable.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal to evaluate pricing and contractual implications associated with wage determinations, labor classifications, certified payroll requirements, and geographic wage differences.
  • Help develop internal controls, templates, playbooks, and guidance documents to reduce commercial risk and improve consistency.

Financial and Operational Partnership

  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to improve pricing discipline, margin protection, and contract governance.
  • Support financial modeling and analysis related to contract profitability, price realization, wage inflation, and customer-specific commercial terms.
  • Assist in building reporting dashboards and KPIs related to contracts, renewals, price increases, realized yield, exception activity, and margin outcomes.

 Education & Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Legal Studies, Economics, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in contract management for environmental service or other heavy industrial regulated service business, pricing, commercial finance, legal operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting multi-state service operations required.
  • Experience in environmental services, industrial services, technical services, field services, construction-adjacent services, transportation, waste, utilities, infrastructure, or other highly regulated service industries strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience with prevailing wage environments strongly preferred, including pricing, labor cost analysis, and/or contract administration involving public sector, municipal, remediation, infrastructure, or regulated service work.
  • Experience partnering with Legal and Finance on commercial terms, risk management, and customer agreement negotiations required.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing or coordinating customer price increases and commercial contract administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and contract/pricing tracking tools; ERP, CRM, and contract lifecycle management system experience preferred.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction across operational branches, finance, legal, and commercial teams.
  • Travel up to 20% or more pending business need.
