Launched in September 2023, our newest location in Silver Spring, MD, is home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers has built our adolescent, and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.     Â
We are seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Services tolead our clinical programs. In partnership with the rest of the Silver Spring Leadership Team, this individualwill play a key role in building and shaping a strong culture of clinical excellence at the location, while offering direct coaching and development to our team. Our programs serve patients across a variety of diagnoses including Mood/Anxiety, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Trauma, and Substance Use.
What You’ll Do: Â
- Providing direct managerial oversight to Associate Directors, Primary Therapists, Family Therapists, Group Therapists, and other staff within programs. Lead and assist with other programs as neededÂ
- Identifying hiring/staffing needs and participating in interviewing and hiring processÂ
- Executing new hire onboarding and staff developmentÂ
- Initiating employee performance appraisal and staff performance improvement program compliance with accrediting bodiesÂ
- Leading the day-to-day execution of policies and procedures as well as the mission and objectives of CompassÂ
- Managing program paid time off to ensure adequate staffing patternsÂ
- Managing Program Intake schedule with assistance from VP and Site LeaderÂ
- Responding to clinical crises as needed and coordinating response of othersÂ
- Oversees the implementation of program material and curriculumÂ
- As indicated, participating in community outreachÂ
- Overseeing calls about program eligibility and appropriateness. Ensures referrals are provided as neededÂ
- Conducting clinical intakes to identify clinical diagnoses, functional impairment, personal strengths and make treatment recommendations; charting progress of patients appropriately; providing group, individual, and family therapy, as neededÂ
- Communicating with patient’s family members or support system, as needed; coordinating care with patient’s outside providers to ensure continuity of careÂ
- Assessing patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or dischargeÂ
- Engaging in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communicationÂ
- Participating in professional development activitiesÂ
- Providing individual, family or group therapy as neededÂ
- Providing clinical supervision Â

Who You Are:
Â
- Masters prepared independently licensed clinician or licensed Doctorate level clinician Â
- Experience developing and managing programs and clinical teamsÂ
- Experience supervising therapists, both licensed and seeing licensureÂ
- Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective and efficacious treatmentsÂ
- Experience with patients in crisisÂ
- Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environmentÂ
- Experience with program target population in group and individual therapy settingsÂ

This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus which is dependent upon individual and company performance.
