The Data Analyst is responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting on donor data to support strategic fundraising initiatives for the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Region’s philanthropy offices in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware. This position maintains the integrity and performance of the donor database, provides data insights to inform decision-making, and develops reporting tools that support philanthropy goals. The Data Analyst collaborates with development staff to optimize data processes, enhance donor segmentation strategies, and ensure accurate, timely information for fundraising and stewardship activities.Job Title: Foundation Data Analyst

As a Foundation Data Analyst you will:
Oversee donor database management including data entry standards, record maintenance, coding structures, and system optimization to ensure data accuracy and usability.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support campaign tracking, portfolio management, annual giving analytics, and operational planning.
Analyze fundraising performance and donor trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve fundraising strategies and donor engagement.
Ensures compliance with HIPAA, IRS regulations, and industry standards regarding donor privacy, data handling, and ethical fundraising practices.
Conduct appeal, event and campaign fundraising analysis, providing actional recommendations to improve results.
Support forecasting and goal-setting through predictive modeling and trend analysis.
Develop, maintain, and execute queries and data extracts to support fundraising, prospecting, and reporting needs.
Ensures compliance with HIPAA, IRS regulations, and applicable industry standards relating to donor privacy, data handling, and ethical fundraising practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, database management, or development operations, preferably within a nonprofit or healthcare environment.
Experience with donor CRM systems (e.g. Blackbaud, NXT, Salesforce, or similar) required.
Experience with online fundraising platforms.
Advanced computer skills, particularly using relational databases, especially Blackbaud products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Pivot Tables, and Word.
Pay Range:
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
