Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are seeking an experienced Senior Information and Process Engineer to assess and optimize a Federal Healthcare Agency’s organization structure, programs, processes, and knowledge management practices. This role brings a technology and knowledge management lens to the project by evaluating how well current systems and infrastructure support “to-be” processes, recommending technology enhancements, and developing the requirements and transition plans needed to get there. The Senior Information and Process Engineer will also support re-engineering, implementation planning, and post implementation program evaluation, whenever knowledge management or IT systems are in scope.Â
We are seeking a master’s-level engineer or analyst who combines knowledge management expertise, business process fluency, and digital transformation experience. Candidates should be comfortable assessing legacy federal IT and collaboration platforms and translating findings into practical requirements and transition plans.Â

Knowledge Management & IT Systems AssessmentÂ
- Assess client’s knowledge management practices and supporting IT systems, evaluating how well they support access to work products, decisions, and historical documentation throughout their lifecycleÂ
- Identify major repositories, collaboration platforms, and document management systems in use across the assessed organizational footprintÂ
- Provide input into the process re-engineering, implementation planning, and post-implementation program evaluation, when applicableÂ
- Make recommendations to fully utilize client’s current IT stack in support of “to-be” re-engineered processesÂ
- Recommend future IT and other technology enhancements to support agency’s organizational and process improvement goalsÂ
- Develop requirements and transition plans for recommended technology and knowledge management improvementsÂ
- Support implementation planning by identifying technology-related dependencies, risks, and sequencing considerationsÂ
- Execute implementation efforts using Agile practicesÂ
- Coordinate with other HHS stakeholders focused on technology to ensure redesign efforts align with subagency systems, initiatives, and data management modernization prioritiesÂ
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferredÂ
- 7+ years of experience in knowledge management, information systems, digital transformation, or business process engineeringÂ
- Demonstrated experience assessing IT systems/knowledge management infrastructure and developing technology recommendations in a federal agency contextÂ
- Experience developing system/technology requirements and transition plansÂ
- Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.Â
- Ability to obtain public trust.Â

- Prior experience with HHS or another federal regulatory/health agencyÂ
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP)Â
- Experience with federal knowledge management platforms and document management systemsÂ
- Experience supporting IT modernization or data management modernization initiativesÂ
