TV One & CLEO TV are seeking an experienced Executive Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support to our Vice President of Partnerships & Marketing and Vice President of Content Distribution. This role combines executive support, project coordination, and event management in a fast-paced media environment. Your work will directly support executives and cross-functional teams while ensuring seamless event execution, strategic reporting, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities with discretion.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee administrative logistics for national and regional trade shows, local promotions, and events, ensuring seamless registration, planning, and execution in collaboration with distribution and marketing teams.
  • Partner with sales executives to develop high-quality presentations and marketing materials that enhance client engagement and drive partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis, utilizing internal data, digital tools, and industry trends to inform strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Track competitive streaming content and key cultural and entertainment events (e.g., StreamTV Show, CBC, Essence Music Festival, ABFF), delivering insights on programming trends, audience engagement, and emerging opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate client databases, manage promotional assets, and support sourcing efforts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity, including channel positioning, distribution strategies, and promotional efforts, to support informed decision-making.
  • Represent TV One/CLEO TV at industry events, fostering relationships and maintaining a consistent brand presence.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to executives, including calendar management, travel coordination, expense processing, and communications management.
  • Lead and contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives that support organizational growth and key business objectives.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; able to multitask and prioritize effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion. 
  • Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with high initiative. 
  • Event planning, database management, and report preparation experience preferred. 
  • Ability to travel and work nights/weekends as required. 
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. 


 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred, equivalent administrative experience acceptable. 3+ years supporting senior executives, ideally in media, entertainment, or content distribution.
