Under the supervision of the Assistant Center Director, the Childcare Aide is responsible for performing the following tasks:

JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and distribute the snacks daily to each classroom.
• Distribute the lunches to each classroom.
• Help to set up the classroom for the daily activities.
• Assist in food preparation, serving and clean-up.
• Assist with the program wherever else necessary as indicated by the Childcare Staff, Administration or Nursing staff.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Lived experience as a person with a developmental or intellectual disability a plus.
• Some previous experience with children a plus.
• Must have pre-employment medical exam and TB test.

PHYISCAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing.
