Position Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Dentist to join our growing team. This role will begin at 1–2 days per week, with a strong opportunity to increase days as the practice expands. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a startup environment and help shape the culture and clinical excellence of the practice.

- Experience in a pediatric dental setting
- Comfort with behavior management techniques and sedation dentistry
- Interest in growth with a startup practice environment
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred, but not required)

Schedule
- Part-time: 1–2 days per week initially

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs
- Perform preventive and restorative procedures, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Diagnose and manage dental conditions, including caries, trauma, and developmental issues
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, diet, and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia and, if trained/credentialed, nitrous oxide or other sedation modalities
- Collaborate with orthodontists and other team members to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, and patient-centered office culture
Qualifications
You will be required to possess the following:
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program (CODA-accredited)
- Active and unrestricted Maryland Dental License (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Current DEA registration
- Current CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred)
- Nitrous oxide permit (if applicable under Maryland regulations)
- Eligibility for credentialing with major insurance providers and Medicaid
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on pediatric patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents
