TesseraĀ is seeking an experiencedĀ andĀ detailed Heavy Equipment Mechanic (EVT III)Ā with a positiveĀ attitude.Ā Ā
Typical duties include but are not limited to:Ā Ā
Perform maintenance of equipment to include, but not limited to,Ā AircraftĀ Rescue &Ā Fire-FightingĀ (ARFF) vehicles, Fire Apparatus vehicles, wheeled vehicles, track vehicles, engineer equipment, power generation, and material handling equipment.Ā
Accomplish minor repairs and perform services as outlined inĀ establishedĀ technical manuals and IAW National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.Ā
Perform inspection andĀ repair onĀ brakes, suspension, wheels, hubs, and steering systems IAW with OEM recommendations and NFPA standards.Ā
Understand and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring, and hydraulic schematics to ensure proper diagnosis and repair during annual services.Ā
Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, removing components, removal and installation ofĀ assembliesĀ and installation of components.Ā
Maintain Operational Vehicle Maintenance schedules.Ā
Responsible for various reports- i.e., schedules, training, attendance, evaluations, various employee documentations, correct time keeping, and accident reports.Ā
Train employees on job tasks and assignments to ensure complete understanding ofĀ workĀ assigned.Ā
Monitor employee performance to ensure efficient use of time and performance of work tasks.Ā
Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.Ā
Coach, mentor, and resolve employee concerns in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner.Ā
Monitor employees to ensure efficient use of time, performance, and understanding of work tasks.Ā
Record daily personnel attendance and track employee absences, tardiness, etc.Ā
Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.Ā

Qualifications:āÆĀ Ā
Minimum of five (5) years of vehicle maintenance experienceĀ required.Ā
ASE (T-1 through T-7, and L-2) certification or the ability to obtain one required.Ā
EVT (F-1 through F-6 and A-1 through A-3) Level III Fire Apparatus and ARFF vehicle technician certification or the ability to obtain one required.Ā

Employees must have the ability toĀ performĀ the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutĀ assistance. Must be able to lift and/or move up toĀ 45Ā pounds.Ā
May beĀ requiredĀ to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.Ā
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also beĀ required.Ā Ā
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.Ā

A valid state driverās license isĀ requiredĀ with the ability to obtain andĀ maintainĀ coverage byĀ TesseraāsĀ insurance.Ā
