Job Posting: Transfer Station (Convenience Station) Attendant

Salary Range: $19-21/hour
Site Hours of Operation: Tuesday through Saturday

This is not a true Transfer Station, but an off-site drop off location for waste and recyclables with an inside shack to sit in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and direct customers to appropriate disposal areas.
• Inspect incoming loads for prohibited materials.
• Operate compactor.
• Receive and account for payments from Customers
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the site.
• Monitor and record waste volumes and types.
• Enforce site rules and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve basic inquiries.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic recordkeeping and math skills.
• Problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform manual labor.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Visual and auditory acuity for equipment operation and safety.
• Ability to remain alert, follow instructions, and work independently.
• Ability to work well in slow-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow instructions
