Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
- Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
- Performs repairs, reconditioning, and maintenance of all undercarriage components including track chains, pads, rollers, idlers, and frames.
- Operates and sets up presses for turning pins and bushings; removes and installs track pads and related components.
- Conducts maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered systems related to undercarriage operation.
- Uses proper diagnostic tools and equipment (i.e., Cat ET, CAT-SIS) to identify and resolve issues.
- Identifies all models and types of undercarriage systems; accesses and utilizes technical resources, including the Undercarriage Reconditioning Guide.
- Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned repair parts and tests repaired equipment for proper operation per manufacturer specifications.
- Completes required documentation including service reports, parts requisitions, timecards, and returns with accuracy and detail.
- Provides exceptional customer service and represents Blanchard Machinery in a professional manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel or heavy equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of undercarriage systems, diagnostic techniques, and proper repair procedures required.
- Computer skills preferred (SIS, CAT ET).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a team player who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Working Conditions
- The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside throughout the day, however this position may also require working in non-climate-controlled environments as well as outdoors.
- Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Position requires employees to be physically present at designated worksite locations.
- Requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
- Must be able to lift varied weight.
- Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
- Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
