Job Description

EBAD is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with experience working in a manufacturing environment. This position will primarily support one Value Stream. The candidate will be responsible for quality engineering, system and process improvements, supplier development and RCCA activity including non-conformance analysis and implementation of effective countermeasures.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality functions for assigned programs from proposal through shipment to customer while complying with customer requirements and achieving EBAD cost and delivery expectations.

  • Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for customer complaints and product defects.

  • Host external quality audits and participate in internal quality audits.

  • Participates in new product development and product failure investigations.

  • Maintain product First Article status in accordance with customer and AS9102 requirements.

  • Interface with suppliers and customers concerning program quality requirements.

  • Conduct customer and government source inspection

  • Develop IPs for suppliers and internal manufacturing

  • Verify customer requirements through creation of End Item Data Packages

  • Work to project timelines to support customer and business needs

  • Use statistical methods to improve product quality and reduce defects.

  • Conduct GR&R and process capability studies.

  • Interface with a variety of personnel in support of production including operators, quality engineers, inspectors, shop floor supervisors, program managers, product engineers and design engineers.

  • Develops, modifies, coordinates and documents the implementation, evaluation and maintenance of quality assurance programs and systems.

  • Issue internal and supplier Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).

  • Provides advice and guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations.

  • Analyzes design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.

  • Works closely with Engineering in bringing quality products to production readiness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in relevant engineering discipline

  • 5+ years of relevant Quality and/or manufacturing engineering experience.

  • Experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Interfacing with customers and suppliers concerning product quality.

  • Interpreting customer specifications and then designing and implementing an effective quality program.

  • ISO 9000/AS 9100 quality systems.

  • Production floor experience, defect reduction, and process improvement.

  • Experience in root cause/corrective and preventative action and the ability to lead project teams and customers through the analysis.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software.
