Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license required
- One to two (1-2) years of manufacturing-related experience required
- Twenty-four to thirty-six (24-36) months of on-the-job training required
Qualifications
- Dependability to be consistently at work and on time
- Basic reading and math skills, including knowledge of fractions and decimal computations
- Basic verbal/written comprehension skills
- Basic measuring skills using tape measure, micrometers, and/or calipers
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
- A “Team” mentality
- Repetitive standing and/or bending capability during normal phase duties
- Medium/heavy (20-75 lbs.) lifting capability during normal phase duties
Responsibilities
- Perform a safety evaluation of the assigned workstation and surrounding areas.
- Assist manufacturing lines as needed.
- Operate material handling motorized equipment (upon completion of in-house training/certification) to load/unload trucks and train cars.
- Assist maintenance personnel in a helper capacity.
- Perform workstation and surrounding area housekeeping tasks as required.
- Set and position machine dyes to comply with production specifications. Â Â
