Cook - FT, AM Shift, Deli

Creative Dining Services located on the Dordt University campus in Sioux Center, IA is looking to hire a full-time AM Cook to work in the Deli Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Cook ensures that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided in a safe manner. The Cook works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team. Come and be creative! Each day is different and exciting! 

Core Responsibilities: 

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
• Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times
• Store food items according to established standards of practice
• Maintain food production records and temperature logs
• Follow established work rules and regulations; ready for work in the kitchen, in uniform, at the scheduled time
• Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organized work environment at all times
• Communicate needs and concerns regarding food production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately and in a timely manner
• Support other kitchen employees 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• ServSafe Certification preferred
