Position Summary

The Candy Store strives to create a welcoming, fun, and memorable experience for every customer. This position plays an important role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. The ideal candidate is positive, professional, and enjoys interacting with customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers with their questions, requests, and purchases
Provide friendly, positive, and professional customer service
Operate the cash register, including opening and closing procedures and basic troubleshooting
Assist with store decorations and seasonal displays
Stock merchandise and maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays and shelves
Utilize store computer systems to support inventory control, including product counts, stock organization, and inventory, manufacturing, and stock transactions.
Prepare customer orders for pickup
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Take customer orders by phone and provide accurate pricing and timelines for order completion, delivery, or pickup
Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations
Regular and reliable attendance is required

Required

At least 16 years of age.
Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
Enjoys working with and assisting customers
Basic computer proficiency
Dependable, positive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to remain professional and adaptable in a retail environment

Preferred

Previous retail or customer service experience

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
