Clinical Assistant

Sioux City, IA

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Full-time + benefits 

 

 

Provide hands-on support in the delivery of health care services and patient care management. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs and height/weight measurements, performing lift testing, collecting urine specimens for drug screening and urinalysis, conducting breath alcohol testing, and supporting the reporting and resolution of collection issues for client companies.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts patient drug and alcohol screens in accordance with company protocols including documenting on required forms, instructing the patient about the process and packaging the sample for shipment.
  • Performs physical work ups in accordance with company protocols including lift test, dip UAs, and audiograms.
  • Assures adequate drug and alcohol screenings supplies are available, and patient care areas are clean

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Breath Alcohol Training (BAT) Certification – within 60 days of hire; must be maintained thereafter
  • Drug Screen Collection (CPC) Certification – within 60 days of hire; must be maintained thereafter
  • Occupational Hearing Conservationist (OHC) Certification through CAOHC – within 8 months of hire
  • IA Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training – within 90 days of hire, if providing care in Iowa
  • IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training – within 90 days of hire, if providing care in Illinois
  • IA Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training – within 90 days of hire, if providing care in Iowa
  • IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training – within 90 days of hire, if providing care in Illinois
