Position Overview
This position works with the lifestyle team to create unique resident experiences that promote a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging community.Â
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, implementing, and leading activities in the following categories: physical, social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, religious, service/volunteering, and special requests of the residents.Â
- Lead group activities while encouraging resident participation and building positive relationships.Â
- Document resident engagement each day in LifeLoop, tracking the data to observe engagement trends.Â
- Help coordinate community outings, events, and special celebrations, while assisting as a chaperone.Â
- Become acquainted with each resident and their activity preferences and promote activities in a way that piques residents’ interests.Â
- Assist with decoration of the facility for special events, seasons, and holidays.Â
- Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities, assisting them to and from activities.Â
- Support social media content creation and posting for the community.Â
- Drive the company vehicle for resident activities and appointments, as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident experiences.Â
- Identify and requisition needed supplies for planned activities.Â
- Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, community operations and personnel.
- Other duties, as assigned.Â
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of ageÂ
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Basic computer skills and use of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to assist residents with mobility and stand for extended periods
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
 Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, or senior livingÂ
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience working with memory care or seniors with dementia
- Enjoyment in working with older adults
