Packing Line 2nd Shift 3:30p.m. - 12:00a.m. Full-Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time.

• Move containers of packaged honey to their cases.
• Load items into their containers. 
• Labeling containers appropriately. 
• Keep the area clean and organized so the line continues to run smoothly. 
• Pack in a timely fashion so that packaging processes run at the correct line speed. 
• Willing to learn a variety of equipment and machines in plant locations. 
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent of the two. 
• Ability to read, write legibly, and speak English.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents such as safety rules and operating manuals. 
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Ability to operate and read a scale.
• Ability to use hands to grip, grab, and turn in repetitive motions.
• Excellent attendance is required.
• Desire to grow within the company. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be available to work as needed including overtime and Saturdays, as well as nights as needed. 
• Regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds. 
• Close vision abilities, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Description of the Work Environment: This position is part of the Sioux City Plant and most of the work will take place within the plant portion of the facility.  This position will come in contact with many other employees within the facility and it is the expectation of the organization that we always maintain an attitude of dignity and respect when interacting with each other.
