Core Overview and Essential Job Functions
The Production Supervisor oversees food manufacturing operations by managing employees, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards, enforcing rules, and maintaining production efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations, oversee food production lines to meet volume targets 
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage labor, materials, and equipment to ensure production schedules are met
  • Communicate effectively with other Supervisors and Managers
  • Balance quality, productivity, food safety, employee safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas while working to continuously improve
  • Document and monitor key performance indicators to track performance and adjust focus as necessary
  • Support all special projects related to production processes
  • Participate in monthly GMP Inspections, support established Food Safety and Quality programs, and ensure compliance with company policies, GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and regulatory requirements
  • Execute Product Change Over processes to ensure Food Safety and Quality requirements are met
  • Maintain a strong floor presence by coaching employees, monitoring production activities, and addressing issues in real time 
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective employee relations, attendance management, coaching, recognition, and collaboration with HR
  • Support new employees to ensure training is adequate and needs are met
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reduce waste
  • Ensure all inventory, production, and material transactions are accurately entered into the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational planning
  • Build & maintain working knowledge of multiple departments to effectively provide supervisory coverage, support operations, coordinate across departments and respond to changing business needs
  • And other duties as assigned 

What You'll Need / Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • Deep knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Laws is desired (can be trained)
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment is preferred
  • The ability to work 2nd shift hours

Strong verbal and communication skills are essential to communicate with employees and management. A strong analytical mindset will help you identify areas for process improvement as well as work to maintain department efficiencies. This role requires a positive attitude focusing on teamwork to collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.
