Job Description:

The primary responsibility for this position is to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high standards of data quality, governance, and scalability across the enterprise data platform.

Qualifications: This person should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in data engineering or platform development. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, data pipeline orchestration, and cloud-based data solutions is preferred. The candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset. Special skill sets: Microsoft Fabric, MS SQL Server, Python, AI, machine learning, data pipeline design, data cleansing and transformation, data quality frameworks, metadata management, data cataloging, governance policy implementation, and platform scalability strategies.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric to support enterprise analytics and operational needs.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data management standards and best practices to ensure data integrity, quality, and security across the organization.

  • Establish and monitor data quality metrics, proactively identifying and resolving data issues.

  • Manage metadata and data cataloging processes to ensure data assets are discoverable, well-documented, and compliant with organizational standards.

  • Implement and enforce data governance policies, including data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute data strategy, focusing on platform scalability and future growth.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices in data engineering, quality, and governance.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data platform engineering and Microsoft Fabric.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and governance frameworks.

  • Act in accordance with organizational policy and procedures as established and set forth in the employee handbook.

  • Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
