We’re looking for a Manager Human Resources who is ready to influence leaders, strengthen culture, and drive department strategies that support a high‑performing organization. This position is based out of our Sioux Falls office.

 

What you’ll do: Reporting to the VP Human Resources, this position will serve as an operational HR partner to leaders and employees throughout the United States, as well as Canada and Mexico, supporting the full employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role leads and/or partners on HR programs including employee relations, performance management, talent processes, compliance, and employee development. It also provides day-to-day leadership to direct reports. 

 

  • Serve as a role model for company values, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Provide guidance to managers on employees relations, performance improvement, and offboarding
  • Support audits, investigations, and documentation requirements
  • Support learning, development, and career progression initiatives 
  • Ensure consistent and compliant application of company policies and practices
  • Support annual performance review and merit processes
  • Partner with HR leadership on benefit and compensation administration, talent acquisition, onboarding, and department goals, projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, state laws, and international requirements where applicable)
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to direct reports, including goal setting, performance feedback, and development planning
  • Configure and maintain HRIS and related team systems and ensure accurate employee data maintained

 

 What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a highly effective people leader, with the ability to provide clear direction, hold team members accountable, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Must be a highly collaborative individual who balances care for people with accountability for performance.
  • Experience supporting multi-location or international workforces preferred.
  • A thorough understanding and working knowledge of compensation/benefits, employment law and government compliance regulations are required.
  • Position requires strong negotiation, interpersonal as well as written and oral communication, organization, attention to detail and analytic skills; the ability to influence and build partnering relationships.
  • The ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality is critical as is the ability to effectively manage ambiguity.
  • Strong business acumen, communication proficiency, customer focus, and a drive to achieve results.
  •  A strong technical aptitude is required, including the ability to configure and support HRIS system to enable HR processes.
  • Prior computer experience including HRIS software, word processing and spreadsheet applications required (Dayforce, Microsoft Word and Excel applications preferred).
