We are looking for an energetic candidate for a Field Service Technician.

Job Summary:
Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment at customer locations while delivering exceptional technical support and customer service. In addition to troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, this role identifies opportunities for equipment upgrades, replacement parts, and new product sales. Acts as trusted advisors, helping customers improve performance and reliability while supporting company revenue goals through informed recommendations and collaboration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install and upgrade equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hardware and software issues both remotely and onsite
- Test equipment functionality
- Provide technical assistance to support customers and solve issues.
- Maintenance on existing equipment including audits, upgrades and retrofits
- Knowledge of all procedures, products and practices pertaining to operation of equipment
- Train customers on safe equipment operation and basic maintenance
- Maintain parts and tool inventory to ensure readiness for service calls
- Document service activities including repairs, parts used and equipment status
- Write technical documents and reports
- Follow all safety rules and procedures and complies with site-specific requirements
- Collaborates with internal teams to resolve complex issues and relay customer feedback
- Identify sales opportunities by assessing customer needs and recommending equipment upgrades, replacements, or new products.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong PLC programming experience and knowledge
- Must have valid passport
- Ability to travel 50% or more in North American and abroad
- Located near a major airport
- Availability to travel overnight with short notice
- High level mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
- Extensive ability to trouble-shoot, solve complex problems
- Ability to work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
- Skilled in time management and prioritization
- Ability to trouble-shoot, solve complex problems
- Ability to be self-driven and work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide a positive work environment
- Strong verbal, written and verbal English skills
- Bilingual in Spanish or French preferred
Education and Experience:
- 2 year Technical Degree, preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of strong experience in a field service position covering equipment installation and after sales assistance
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/hearing or through written communication.
- Regularly use of vision abilities including close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly work around moving machinery and heavy equipment.
- Frequently required to push/pull.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently exposed to high-speed moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to UV, strobing or flashing light.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles.
- Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment.
