The Landscape Foreman leads and works alongside the crew to develop commercial and/or residential Landscaping Projects for the company, serving as a direct point of contact and liaison for and between the client and Project Manager (PM).  

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and works alongside crew members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints. 
  • Coaches, trains, and develops crew members.
  • Ensures crewmembers are properly clocked into a job number and, if applicable, transfer to correct jobs throughout the day.
  • Handles any concerns and/or issues that may happen on the team with the assistance and support of PM and Human Resources if/when necessary.

 Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with PM to ensure material deliveries are set to arrive as they are needed on the jobsite. 
  • Communicates with PM regularly to ensure other trades/subcontractors have completed their portion of the work, allowing for our crews to come in.
  • Meets with Crew members daily to review all plans and go over any concerns prior to start of workday 
  • Oversees the crew, making sure they are being timely and efficient in their work.
  • Is the point of contact for clients and always maintains a professional and courteous relationship throughout the life of the project. 
  • Takes note of any concerns or suggestions presented by clients and works with PM and Designer, if needed, to ensure the most positive outcome and experience for the customer. 
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of jobsites. 
  • Ensures daily breaks are taken by all crewmembers as scheduled
  • Completes daily job logs 
  • Properly operates and maintain equipment – ensure any problems with equipment are addressed in a timely manner and reported immediately to PM
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
