Sanford Clinic Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a BE/BC Fellowship Trained Hand Surgeon to join a group of four.
• Join a premier group practice with 30 regionally recognized orthopedic surgeons, along with four podiatrists, three family medicine/sports trained physicians, and one neuropsychologist who are associated with Sanford USD Medical Center
• Orthopedic facility is state-of-the art and houses orthopedics, rehabilitation, physiatry, neurosciences, and podiatry physicians
• The Van Demark Building has various therapeutic specialties and durable medical equipment available
• New Orthopedic Hospital opened January 2026: the nine story, 205,000 square foot Orthopedic Hospital includes 12 operating rooms, 35 pre/post rooms, and 19 future inpatient rooms

Job Description

Specialist with expertise in the surgical, medical, and rehabilitative care of patients with diseases, injuries, and disorders affecting the hand, wrist, and forearm.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Successful completion of a residency in Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, or Plastic Surgery, followed by a one-year fellowship in Hand Surgery

Must hold an active medical license for each state in which the physician practices – either physically or virtually. Must have a DEA for each state in which the physician physically practices. Board Certified in Hand Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery, or the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents. Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.

Compensation
