KBR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team in delivering innovative and mission-critical cloud solutions to our customers. This on-site position, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, offers the opportunity to work closely with a highly skilled and diverse team, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and joint problem-solving. While this role primarily requires on-site collaboration, there may be opportunities for remote work as part of the employment package, though these cannot be guaranteed. Responsibilities include leading evaluation, implementation, and deployment of hybrid-cloud strategies; collaborating with architects and design teams; developing and maintaining automation tools; managing CI/CD pipelines; incorporating FinOps principles; designing scalable software services; troubleshooting; developing strategic road maps; identifying cost savings and security improvements; addressing complex technical challenges; and mentoring junior engineers. Required skills include 10+ years in cloud engineering or related roles with AWS focus, 5+ years in DevOps practices, knowledge of AWS Security and FedRAMP compliance, expertise in IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, proficiency in configuration management and scripting languages, experience with FinOps, leadership and collaboration skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and documentation skills. Required certifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, AWS Associate Certification, and Terraform Associate certification. Preferred skills include AWS Professional and Specialty Certifications, public sector solution experience, and expertise with various AWS services. Special requirements include three years of continuous U.S. residency and the ability to obtain government security credentials.
