Job Description

This position is being offered with a minimum of 25 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week for the first 90 days of hire.  Rate of pay is $20 to $22 per hour DOE. We look forward to talking with you about this wonderful opportunity!

We have a Fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Enthusiast to join our team! This role works with an incredible population of residents on weekdays in a fantastic environment.

Our Maintenance Technicians: 

  • Receive instructions, blueprints and work orders for community maintenance or facility projects
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair on the community and equipment to include, appliances, plumbing, drywall, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures
  • Prepare and organizes materials and equipment before starting a task
  • Report equipment/items to supervisor that need repair immediately
  • Responds to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift as directed by the supervisor
  • Perform daily rounds and check of various systems as assigned, including related record keeping
  • Assist residents during move-in and help with TV wall mounts, hanging artwork, assembling minor pieces of furniture, and other resident needs
  • Assist with trash and recycling and keeping underground parking garage in order
  • Assist with grounds maintenance, lawn care and snow removal
  • Other duties as assigned, including occasional transportation duties for residents in community vehicle and helping maintain community vehicles

What you need to succeed:

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age with the ability to read, write and speak English
  • Formal training in vocational school or trade apprenticeship program preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years building maintenance work experience
  • Must be able to read and work from blueprints or instructions, and be knowledgeable in all construction trades
  • Completion of a background check and any other background checks applicable in this jurisdiction

Physical Requirements Include: 

  • Ability to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding maintenance-related tasks inside and outside the building
  • Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
  • May need to occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
